Introduciton To Wine Tastings
Normally held on a Monday night, these tastings are designed to introduce you to grape varieties or regions – the simplest way to build up some knowledge. The format is informal, suitable for anyone with an interest in wine who simply wants to get a bit more understanding of the subject. Tutored by John Hoskins, Master of Wine.
We taste for about an hour and a half (at least 8 wines, from the everyday to the very best). Then there is an informal simple supper – 2 courses, a glass or two of wine, coffee.
The Barossa Valley
Perhaps the most famous area in all Australia for classic Shiraz. But also doing a great job with the occasional white, old vine Grenache and various blends. We will look at some great producers like Magpie Estate, Charlie Melton and Ben Glaetzer. You just need to like big, rich, spicy red wine……
£39.50 per person
