Grape Variety: Grenache Blanc with a touch of Grenache Gris and Vermentino, matured in old wood for eight months
Producer: Pierre Gaillard, a fine producer of Condrieu and Côte Rôtie, bought this 30 hectare estate in Banyuls, starting production in 2003. In conversion to full organic status.
Food Match: Comes from a fishing village so do the obvious. But that rounded texture will also work well with British cheese
Old Bridge Rating: Intriguing, richly flavoured, spicy southern white. Tiny production, little-known name, complex style - a wine for the thinking drinker
