Domaine Bernard Moreau is comfortably one of the top 10 estates in the revered AOC of Chassagne Montrachet. Owning 15has of vines across 14 different sites (mainly in Chassagne, but also St. Aubin and Puligny Montrachet) they have built an envious reputation for their stellar white wines, but also the less well-known reds. Overall, production is around 70% white and 30% red.
100% Pinot Noir
The old vine 2017 red Chassagne has a crystalline red berry fruit character, which is typical of this vintage, with a silky mouthfeel and mineral notes. No more than medium bodied it is elegant and just evolving some bottle aged savoury nuances.
