TORABHAIG ALLT GLEANN, Batch Strength. The Legacy Series. Isle of Skye

From the second ever distillery on the Isle of Skye, which produced its first Single Malt in 2017. Torabhaig is a new venture, but a very exciting one, and are already making world-class spirits.

The latest release in The Legacy Series is Torabhaig Allt Gleann Batch Strength, a way of bidding a fond farewell to Allt Gleann and closing out this chapter of the journey.

Bottled at 61.1% without chill filtration or colouring, and with a residual phenols level of 22.8ppm.

This release has all the typicity of Torabhaig that you would expect – bonfire smoke, salinity, maltiness, and sweet, vanilla-led oaky spice.
Not over-done, the peat is very well integrated (or ‘well-tempered’ as Torabhaig say). Top-notch stuff which will keep the Islay fanatics happy, but also lovers of Highland and more powerful Speyside Malts too…
