Area: This is a Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes - coming from around Rivesaltes, inland from Perpignan and on the southern side of the Corbières hills (famous for robust reds).
Grape Variety: 35% Muscat of Alexandria, 35% Muscat a Petit Grains, 30% Viognier; fermented cool and bottled young to retain maximum perfume and freshness
Producer: Family-owned since 1895, Cazes is one of the most important estates in Languedoc-Roussillon (220 hectares of vineyard in total), and is in fact the biggest organic and 'biodynamic' producer in France.
Cellar Potential: Drink young
Food Match: Great aperitif or match to spicy food
