Davenport Vineyards is based at Horsmonden in Kent, founded in 1991, converting to organic in 2000. They have around 20 acres – one of the UK’s most important organic producers.
The most enjoyable English still white wine we have tried. Aromatically very Sauvignon-like (that’s the Bacchus element) and although it’s light and delicate there is genuine minerality and complexity.
