2017 LE PARADOU ROSÉ. Côtes de Provence
Alcohol Percentage: 12%
Area: Provence has set the style and the standard for rosé around the world. They have been doing it for years, but now everyone else wants to make and drink ultra-pale pink wines.
This comes from a vineyard in the heart of the region, just under the renowned slopes of Sainte-Victoire, immortalized by Paul Cézanne.
Grape Variety: Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle (Vermentino). Hand harvested, gently whole-cluster pressed (to get that all important pale colour), fermented in stainless steel and bottled after 4 months.
Producer: A collaboration between Alex and Fred Chaudière of Château Pesquié (in Ventoux) and Eric Solomon (their US importer).
Old Bridge Rating: Classic Provençal style: light and fresh but with just enough texture to make you realise you have a serious wine in your glass.
