Finest & rarest - CHAMBERTIN, Clos de Bèze, Faiveley. Burgundy

Sorry This bottle is currently not available.

1990 Now finished: CHAMBERTIN, Clos de Bèze, Grand Cru, Faiveley. Burgundy

Bin: 800
Area: One of the truly great Burgundy vineyards, many say just as good as neighbouring Le Chambertin itself.
Producer: Faiveley is one of Burgundy's biggest and best known producers, but they remain family owned and have one of the largest vineyard holdings in Burgundy - a total of 120 hectares including 75 in Côte Châlonnaise (they are very strong in Mercurey).
Old Bridge Rating: Great vineyard, great vintage.
Press Reviews: Clive Coates: "Fine Colour. Splendid nose. This is sheer brilliance! Amazing intensity of fruit. Full, super concentration, marvellous quality. Absolutely lovely. Very, very long and complex at the end." (Côte D'Or Magazine in 1997, page 751)
