2016 CABERNET FRANC, Pulenta Estate Alto. Agrelo, Mendoza, Argentina
Alcohol Percentage: 14.5%
Area: The 135 hectare estate is located in Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo. Like all the best Argentine vineyards they are high (average 980m), thus getting a big diurnal temperature range, helping the wines retain freshness and balance.
Grape Variety: 100% Cabernet Franc, matured for 18 months in French oak, around a quarter of which is new.
Producer: The Pulenta family has been involved in the Argentine viticulture for three generations. Eduardo and Hugo Pulenta are currently holding the reins.
Cellar Potential: Now - 2025
Old Bridge Rating: A lovely balance of classic Argentine richness and power with the understated style of the Cabernet Franc grape.
