ROUNDWOOD LONDON GIN. Abbot’s Ripton

Rupert works for Abbots Ripton estate, just north of Huntingdon and has rented a barn in nearby Wennington.
Emily runs the still, fills and labels every bottle – by hand.
They use a beautiful copper still imported from Kothe in Germany (which they have called Bluebelle).
Key botanicals are juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, orange, elderflower, elderberry. The overall impression is more citrus (the orange showing strongly) than spicy.
Recommended with a garnish of orange peel or thyme.
